Day 1. After flying in to Hobart, day 1 starts with a light aircraft flight to Melaleuca in the heart of South West National Park. On the way you will see the spectacular south coast scenery.You will have a light lunch and time to explore before a return flight to Hobart with views of the Western Arthur Range, Federation Peak and Mt Picton. You will stay at the historic Lenna Hotel in Hobart.
Day 2. Starts with a coach trip up the Derwent valley to Mount Field National Park. At Mount Field you will visit Russell Falls, and take part in some easy walks including the Tall Tree Circuit where some of the trees are around 500 years old. There is plenty to see and explore in this small but very beautiful park. For that real wilderness experience you will be staying in the park in National Park Service owned Huts.
Day 3. After leaving the National Park you will visit the Stix Valley Tall Trees Reserve which is home to some of the tallest trees in the world. On the trip back to Hobart we will stop for some white water rafting on the Derwent River and gourmet picnic lunch.
